Recently, we have been receiving numerous inquiries about construction machinery vehicles, including from clients in Nigeria and Rwanda. China's exports of construction machinery vehicles (such as tipper trucks, excavators, etc.) to Africa have shown rapid growth in recent years. This surge is driven by both the deepening “The Belt and Road” Initiative and the explosion of infrastructure demand across Africa, leading to significant changes in the market landscape.According to officially released China domestic data, in the first half of 2025, China's construction machinery products achieved a growth rate of 37% in the African market, far exceeding other global regions. This positions Africa as a core growth engine for overseas exports.

XCMG made its debut in Nigeria with 88 tipper trucks; BAIC Foton supplied 300 Truck Mate mini trucks for urban logistics across West Africa; HD Hyundai exported 100 large excavators to Ethiopia, capturing 57% of the market share there.

In terms of brands, customers still highly recognize like Shacman and Caterpillar. Among these, brands dominating the market with significant Chinese presence include BAIC Foton, XCMG/Sany, and Shacman.

For example, BAIC Foton comprehensively covers West Africa with its light trucks, mini trucks, and tipper trucks, seeing a significantly increased repurchase rate in the Nigerian market.

XCMG/Sany focuses on heavy equipment for mining, with XCMG tipper trucks making significant breakthroughs in the African market.
